Since diving into the oud fragrance industry, even as a consumer, it has been frustrating to see perfumes that highlight OUD in their marketing, yet you can barely smell the oud, if at all.

Reality check.

Oud is not a magical ingredient, where a tiny drop in a bottle of perfume transcends it into another level, no.

But it's no use stressing over things you can't control. What to do then?

Hence, we channelled that frustration by producing our own, oud-centric perfume. The way we would enjoy a proper oud perfume.

Inspired by Taha Syed's words shared years ago, we decided to start 2026 by officially launching our "Flavoured Oud" attars, a term coined by the man himself.

A fragrance composition flavoured by oud? It's a common concept with oud perfumes.

But Oud being the main character, flavoured by other aromatics?

Not many are willing to do it even if have the capacity to do so, aside from rising artisans as of late (which is a good sign!)

On to the scent profile...

More than 20 natural aromatics make up the "flavouring" component - highlighting wormwood absinthe, and a combination of 2 ouds as the foundation.

Terengganu Malaccensis Oud -fermented, not too much ;)  and clean style Thai Crassna Oud.

Ingredient list (most)

-Wormwood Absinthe

-Grapefruit

-Bergamot

-Galbanum

-Yuzu

-Balsam Fir

-Lavender

-Geranium

-May Chang

-Vetiver

-Patchouli

-Petitgrain

-Spikenard

And others.

Here's the twist. We made TWO versions for your olfactory enjoyment. One with boosted Terengganu Oud, the other with boosted Thai Oud.

When you order one, you'll receive a sample of the other. By observing the two oud heavy blends, we hope that this will add valuable experience to your oud journey, expanding your scent database.

Now, what to expect when smelling them?

Thai Crassna Version

Starts off with green from the absinthe, cooling yet not minty, combined with bittersweet fruity notes. Hints of citruses and lavender give a pleasing texture and aroma, balancing out the sweetness from the thai crassna. It then develops into a velvety sweet oudy profile until the drydown. The oudy sweetness is present from the top all the way to the dry down. A universal crowd favourite, many will love this scent, even non oudheads.

Terengganu Malaccensis Version

A refreshing burst of greenery laced with aromatic lavender will greet you. Much less sweet than the first one, the enhanced zesty bitterness in this version is more calming to the mind. A musty woodiness core will develop and remain until the dry down, due to the Malaccensis Oud taking over the stage, while the fermented element balanced and tone down by the other "flavours". The absinthe is more noticeable in this blend. More aromatic, more refreshing, zestier.

This is what oud perfumes should be like (personal opinion, you can disagree).

Take your pick. There's something for everyone.

P/S : We don't plan on making spray versions of these, but let us know if you're interested. If there's enough demand, we might make a few bottles. No promises though :)
