Sudaasi Ambra Malac is centered on Aquilaria malaccensis oud, presented in a dry, unfermented profile.
The opening leans resinous, shaped by rock rose (cistus). It introduces a warm, slightly leathery facet—amber-like, but not sweet—setting a dense and textured foundation from the start.
The oud moves in early and remains central throughout. This is a Malaysian profile that is woody, ambery, lightly smoky, and somewhat rugged in character. It is not fermented or animalic; instead, it stays close to the grain of the wood—dry quietly persistent.
Virginian cedar runs alongside the oud, adding a clean, wood shavings-like aroma. It sharpens the structure of the composition, giving definition to the heavier resins and woods without lifting them into brightness.
As the attar develops, vanilla planifolia begins to emerge beneath the surface. It does not present as overt sweetness, but rather as a softening element—rounding the edges of the oud and resin, and bringing a subtle sweetness to the base.
Cardamom and coffee remain in the background, never fully stepping forward. The cardamom introduces a faint aromatic lift, while the coffee adds a low, roasted undertone—felt more in texture than in distinct scent.
The composition remains dense, dry, and grounded throughout, evolving slowly, with a steady interplay between resinous amber, wood, softened warmth, and oud-all the way
No sharp transitions. No excess sweetness. Just a continuous, focused structure built around oud and resin.
If you're looking for an oud dominant ,minimalistic blend, and you enjoyed our Purnama Attar from a few years back, Ambra Malac should be on your list.
